A 1964 Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Game in very good condition and is complete. A 2-4 player game. The object of the game is to move all twelve pawns to the opposite side of the board before your opponent can do the same. This can be achieved by jumping over his own or his opponent's pieces. Match Play: Each player, in turn, tries to move on each of his pawns as far as possible by "leapfrogging" rank (across) and file (down), either back or forth over single pawns and solid rows of pawns. All can be done in one move (as long as there is an empty hole to receive his pawn). He cannot move merely to the next hole, he cannot jump over a hole, nor can he move diagonally. Medal Play: is an extension of match play. When one player has succeeded in getting all of his pawns to the other side, the second player continues to place all his pawns, counting and recording the number of moves it takes him to succeed. After four games, instead of counting number of games won, the winner is the player with the lowest score.

During the Middle Ages, there were two feudal kingdoms which bordered on upon the other. One kingdom was ruled by Ethelred the Great, the other Aelfric the Barbaric. Raids between the two kingdoms were frequent and often savage. The bloodiest part of each kingdom was the border area which was claimed by both kings. Both had tried unsuccessfully to gain possession of this disputed territory as had their ancestors before them. Many schemes had been tried and had failed.
This is the point at which the Feudal war begins, with both Kings preparing to invade the neighboring kingdom.
