These Role Playing games or war games, began in the early 1980's when role playing began to take off, the marketing of the box is very similar to the 3M bookshelf games for good reason. In 1976 Avalon purchased the right to the bookshelf games from 3M. Avalon changed the name bookshelf games to bookcase games on the sides of the box. These games are quite rare.

they will precipitate the end of all existence through the actions that they alone
control.
The Throne of Dominion stands vacant. You are challenged, nay
dared, to march forth, face eternity and conquer all that stands before you. To

and the game is complete. Bugs, Mr. Rico! Zillions of 'em. This war
game is based upon the popular novel of Robert A. Heinlein. In the novel, Heinlein
describes a futuristic war involving homo sapiens from our Earth (Terrans) against
a Humanoid race (nicknamed the "Skinnies" for obvious physical attributes) and their
co-belligerents, the totally alien Arachnids. Since this is a story of future wars
and future advances in technology, much is changed in the future in the fields of
weaponry, tactics, and or strategy. One thing remains the same, however; the fighting
still rests on the shoulders of the individual infantryman. Although great starships
has shuttle men between the distant solar systems and the power of individual weapons
has risen to awesome heights, wars still cannot be won unless men venture onto the
face of alien planets and fight the enemy on their home ground.

Game is complete and is in excellent condition. Diplomacy is basically a simple game in principle, but complex in execution. Each piece has the power of 1 and can move only on space each move. There is no element of chance. The play of the game combines careful planning as in Chess, with skill in negotiating deals and persuading other players to go with your plan. Diplomacy can have 4 to 7 players. The game is best with 7 players, but can be played well with less. Although the ultimate objective of the game is for one power to gain control of the majority of the board, the game can be played well deciding in advance exactly how many moves will be played in the game.
