Battletech A Game of Armored Combat
In the 30th century, life is
cheap, but battlemechs aren't.
A dark age has befallen mankind. Where the United Star League once reigned,
five successor states now battle for control. The destruction of war has
ravaged the once flourishing worlds and left them in ruins. The advancement
in technology has not only ceased, but the machines and equipment of the
past can not be produced by present day worlds. The Succession Wars are
fought over water, ancient machines, and spare parts factories. Control of
these elements will lead to final victory and domination of known space.
Second edition #1604 Copyright 1984. Contents: 48 full color stand up
pieces with front and back views. Enough Battlemechs to put four companies
in the field. 120 color unit insignias, 24 plastic holders for pieces, 48
page rule book, and two six sided dice. Game was used slightly, but in real good
condition (Tape on Box).
Air Superiority by Game Designers
Mint
in the box with all the parts and cards intact and not separated from its
perforation. This is a intermediate level game play for complexity. Number
of players is 2 or more, plus 3 solitaire scenarios. Game components: four
10.5"x15.5" maps, one rule booklet with aircraft briefings and game
scenarios, one game charts booklet, one aircraft data card booklet, and
240 die-cut counters. Play time is 1-4 hours, depending on scenario.
12-15 seconds per turn. Map scale is 1/3 mile per hex.
The game of Air Superiority: Air power-the projection of military
force anywhere in the world by aircraft-is one of the dominant themes of
modern history. Air superiority-control of the skies-is vital for air
power. Since the appearance of jets in World War II, jet fighters have
been designed, and their pilots trained, to achieve this overriding goal:
air superiority.
Air Superiority is a realistic and playable game of jet fighter combat
in the 1980's and 1990's. The rules cover the many aspects of modern
air-to-air combat: the basics of fight, gun combat, air-to-air missiles,
radar, and electronic warfare. Options allow for fuel considerations and
the effects of weather. The rules are organized in easy to learn sections.
Players may master the rules without having to learn them all before being
able to play.
Air Superiority includes thirty aircraft, each with its characteristics
detailed on a separate aircraft card. The majority of the aircraft are
U.S., European, and Soviet fighters currently operational in Europe, but
two aircraft not yet operational are also included: the F-19 Stealth
fighter and the F-20 Tigershark. Included in the scenario booklet are 30
scenarios (2 training, 3 solitaire, 10 general, and 15
historical/hypothetical) of air superiority mission in Europe and
elsewhere in the world.
