Hot Rod Art Print

This is a historical automotive collage that commemorates three definitive decades of automotive design. From it's inception over one hundred years ago, the automobile quickly became more than just a way of getting from point A to point B. The car became a symbol-a symbol of freedom, style, and status. In the 1930's speed was the essence as men souped up their Ford coupes to go much faster then the factory ever intended! The beautiful little red coupe in the painting sits on the desert flats as the owner does a little flying in the vintage WWI Bi-plane. In the 1940's big fenders became all the rage as shown by the flaming 1940 Ford cruising down a dirt road with looming mountains behind. The 1950's were the true decade of the automobile! The 1951 Mercury was the sleek ride you wanted to pull up in on Friday night. The 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air- middle brother of the Tri-Chevy family can still be found parked in white picket fenced yards across America.

This signed and numbered print was created by award winning artist Erik W. Olson who has many interests and paints everything from portraits and wildlife to automotive, fantasy, and science fiction art. The original was painted in mixed media, or was Erik would say "Whatever works". You are getting a print from a single run printing of only 850. The artist does not believe in multiple printing runs; therefore, only 850 will ever be produced. Printed on acid free high quality 80 weight paper. Print size is 10.5"x16.5" inches.
