About the TBF: Earned the reputation as the most deadly torpedo bomber ever developed, in the battles in the Pacific during World War II. Developed and built by Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corp., it became the standard torpedo bomber of the Navy and was produced in large numbers. The Avengers that were built by General Motors Corp. were designated TBM.

Box is in very good condition and kit is mint. This kit can be assembled as on of four versions. Cockpit door can be mounted closed or open to show the highly detailed interior. About the Airacobra: Air Force plane was designed by Bell Aircraft. Located behind the cockpit, the Allison 12 cylinder engine drove the propeller through an 8' shaft. This left the nose section free for installation of heavy armament.
