Plastic had its earliest beginnings in World War I with the creation of PVC.
Now, I know most of us are not chemists and do not have the inclination to be
one and I dare not go there, but these plastics offered a cheaper means for a
lot of things. Like toys-plastics started to show up in toys just after Word War
II. Most modern plastic model kits have PVC as the ingredient. Most might
associate plastic with being cheap. This much may be true, but as some of the
plastics age from 50's and on up and even from the 70's, these plastics are
starting to gain in value. And Collectors of certain plastic items have taken
notice.
