In ancient times, people looked up to the sky and saw pictures in the stars.
We call these pictures constellations. The constellations book the shapes of heroes
and villains, lovers and foes, gods and goddesses, and a host of marvelous mythological
creatures. Behind ever constellation there was a story. Why is it important to know
about the constellations? For the same reason it is good to know the names of the
flowers and trees and birds-because they are part of your everyday world. (may also
help if lost and to find your way). These tales are our link with the ancients-and
with the heavens themselves. Book by Katharine Ross and illustrated by Stephen Marchesi.

time with wonderful pictures and stories. Normally retails for $14.00 dollars.
